
Limelight finds the fastest for Nike
To coincide with the launch of the Nike Mercurial Vapor Superfly II, Limelight Sports ensured the successfully delivery of the nationwide Nike Tear Up The Pitch programme in April 2010.
The experiential participation campaign demonstrated the Mercurial’s ability to increase speed and agility and delivered an unforgettable Nike experience for all participants. The event was based around NikeFootball+, an innovative online training tool for footballers.
The qualifying trials, staged in London, Birmingham and Manchester on 12th - 14th April 2010, were held to find the five fastest players from each city. Premierleague players were among the spectators who witnessed the 15 fastest players secure their ticket to the London final.
LS managed the competition element of the final as 15 finalists endured a tense, enthralling finale, as they competed for the grand prize; a trip to Spain to train at FC Barcelona.
